Abu Dhabi hosts crucial cricket match between Pakistan and the West Indies
Abu Dhabi will host the crucial match between Pakistan and
the West Indies, which will consist of several matches of the day and five-day
test matches. The Abu Dhabi Cricket Stadium will host Zayed's cricket stadiums
in the capital city of Abu Dhabi based on The new partnership agreement between
the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Pakistan Cricket Council.
The first match will be played on Tuesday (September 27th),
the third crucial international match between the two teams, while the T Twente
series will be held over a period of 5 days between 21-25 October 2016.
Announced that Pakistan's series of matches will begin on September 23,
including three international T-Twente matches, three matches per day and three
qualifying matches.
For his part, the Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Sports
Council, Arif Hamad Al Awani, said that the agreement marks the beginning of
several new initiatives presented by the Council to promote cricket in the
Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which will be a new addition to the sporting events
hosted by Abu Dhabi throughout the year.
"We expect a very large number of fans and cricket fans
to enjoy watching the stars of the Pakistan cricket team, the stars of the
cricket world champion West Endier, and some other international cricket stars,
including Jamaican star Chris Gale."
"We are looking forward to seeing at least 15,000
spectators at the Zayed Cricket Stadium, an architectural masterpiece that is
easily accessible from anywhere in the capital, thanks to transportation
services and the distinctive road network that surrounds it."
For his part, President of the Pakistan Council of Cricket
Shahriar Khan, welcomed the new initiative of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council on
the series of cricket matches between Pakistan and the West Indies, as well as
the relationship with the distinguished Abu Dhabi Cricket Club and Zayed
Stadium Cricket.
"We are very confident that this new partnership with
the Abu Dhabi Sports Council will encourage and encourage more cricket fans and
fans here in Abu Dhabi to attend these important matches," Shahriar said.
